What?On some sites, you might see a plugboard, which basically lets you advertise your site only with a button, and once every so often. There are no description options, so first impressions with nice buttons are important. Many people might get confused on why webmasters often have these as pages, but I came up with an answer: It's beneficial to both. It helps the viewers of the site, because it helps those who own a website get their site across the web. They will also get to have links to new sites, so they could affiliate with them, too. They could also find a site with a tutorial on a subject that they aren't too clear about, like making your own layout. It could also give you a link to a site with a topsite, so you could join there, and get more viewers! Now, here comes the age old question: "How would the website owner benefit from plugboards?" Well, like the viewers, the plugboard owner could look at the other sites, and get future affiliates, and could go to other plugboards, topsites, etc. Also, they could see which webmasters look at their site, though I'm not really sure how that could help. Therefore, it is helpful to both. RulesNow, these still have rules. I would suggest using an 88 by 31 button, so the button won't get stretched or shrunk. And don't double, triple or whatever post, just make sure your site is advertised once, to give others a chance. That's all. |
