I memorized codes and there's STILL more to learn!?!

Most people don't know that web mastering comes with 2 parts: One, the coding and actual site. And two, the manners, and interacting with viewers and other webmasters. Now I know, you guys are probably either leaving this page, or thinking: What is he talking about? Well, within the time you leave this page; you will find out.

Don't pick fights in guestbooks and chatboxes.

Notice how I didn't just say your guestbook and chatbox. Do you know that people actually click the link in your name? Then they automatically judge your personality of the site(if it leads to a site) by that one quote/email you forwards(if it was a forward). I know that I wouldn't want to go into my mail, seeing spam mail. Besides, how would you feel if people spammed in YOUR guestbook/chatbox? So yeah, don't spam and stuff. And don't 'Do as I say, not I do'. People will only be tempted to do as you do. (I know, that sounds wrong. xp) But yeah, save the more critical critique for emails, where your thoughts aren't published for the entire world to see.

Affiliation can say a lot about you

I don't mean when the site just makes you submit a form where you fill in choices from a drop down menu. I mean when you actually email someone. Everything- from the greeting to if you say going to or gonna, shows your personality. Plus, don't act like you have the world's greatest website. It's possible, but there's always room for improvement. It seriously just throws people off. Just don't act like a character from a reality show that always hogs the confessionals or 'narrates' the episode, like asking for pity from other websites. It's hits, not good ratings that you want. You want good ratings too, but you should get what I mean.

I thought I only told HER that his layout looked bad.

No, I don't mean that as a subliminal message to somebody's website, but I mean that are you ever on AIM or Yahoo!; talking about a person's website, and you had to leave. Then when you come back, that person practically told everybody what you said. I don't mean that to anybody, but I'm just saying it could happen. It's happen to us all; and we feel bad about it afterward. And don't spread gossip in real life either, it's bad. [/PSA]

In conclusion

In conclusion, you guys are probably thinking, 'Oh geez, I already knew that, why'd he spend a whole page on it?' Well, some of us forget, and need a little back up. I hope this guide will help make less 'infamous moments' for webmasters everywhere. And this also doesn't apply to webmasters only, it applies to just about anyone with a keyboard, Internet Access, and a monitor.=p
